I think that any severe cheating such as bloodgate should be punished with a long ban for everyone involved, and a large fine. Cheating is meant for football!!!!!!!
Totally agree! This is absolutely ridiculous but does raise a couple of questions for me, is this what professionalism has done to the game?
Yes, this seems to be a one off incident, but bloodgate is an example of a coach so focussed on winning at all costs - consider the money involved if they win; sponsorship deals, season tickets, increased attendance etc, that all common sense deserted him.
I do not want to see situations like this again, rugby has always had a pretty good record compared with other sports - but across the board people are making stupid decisions, and for me, a lot of that is because of the money, and subsequent pressure involved.
